Hey everyone! Omar here coming at you with some cool stuff. I love the whole social networking thing because you can meet people who have the same visions as you, but may live on the other side of the planet. I have talked to people in Australia, China, Japan...from the comfort of my computer chair. That is some pretty cool stuff! If you haven't heard yet, there is a site that is exploding and if you are not using twitter for business, you may be missing out on a big trend.
So what's twitter. Basically you tell people what you are doing..point blank. If I just saw a great movie, that's what I will write so everyone who decides to follow me can also see it.
It literally takes about 10 seconds so don't worry, you can do this! All of the top marketers are coming along and have huge amounts of followers because of the "internet status" if that's what you want to call it.
I personally got on the site around late September and didn't take it seriously. But I also use Alexa.com to see the current traffic ranking of websites, and twitter is going up in the ranks rather fast. That is why I am urging you to take a second and create your presence there.
Here are some things you don't want to do on twitter. 1. Don't spam. This one is pretty obvious. People want to actually know what you are doing. Don't only use twitter for business and selfish promotions. 2. All of your "tweets" shouldn't have links in it. Why? It goes back to the promotion part. If all you want to do is get people to click on links, you will most likely get kicked out. Here is some things you should do on twitter.
1. Follow me on Twitter here : http://twitter.com/WilloxPerez
2. Post frequently. Let people know that you are alive and let them know what you are doing. Just ate something good, let the world know. Yea, you celebrity you!
3. Don't be afraid to share a link here and there. If done right, it shouldn't annoy your followers.
4. Make sure you bio and description have your links to your websites in it. Which ever site your trying to drive traffic to, put it up there!
5. Visit the website called http://www.tweetlater.com/. This a place for all your twitter materials.
The internet is about leverage and a touch of automation. I suggest you look at that site and incorporate it in your marketing efforts. They even offer to connect your tweets to your FaceBook. This just keeps getting cooler and cooler doesn't it? Are you convinced yet? Hurry and get on that site if you are not already on it. It's pretty simple to navigate and fun to chat with different people. This is going to be a huge trend online, so get on now.
